Event Information

Registration for this event is strictly by invitation only. 

The International Table Tennis Federation drives a worldwide Hopes Program aimed at detecting young talents (Under 12) and supervising them from the earliest stages. The process starts with TTQ implementing a state identification event. We believe by detecting players earlier and providing them with the tools to succeed will raise the level of table tennis in our junior age groups.

This programme is in preparation for the National Hopes Program that includes a training camp and tournament. Through this, players are selected to compete at continental and then world stage.

TTQ will provide a scholarship for the TOP 3 Players at the State Final, to a National Hopes Tour Event.

Coaching Group: 

TTQ is pleased to announce nationally accredited Level 3 coach, Cathy Collins as lead coach for the 2026 camp. Cathy has a strong pedigree working with players of all levels, having worked across numerous development programs at all levels of table tennis. Cathy has coached and managed Australian teams at international events, and state teams at National events. Cathy has extensive involvement in Para programs and currently coaches Australian para players. Coach education is another role Cathy enjoys as a Level 2 course presenter. 

Additional support coaches will be announced prior to the event.

Camp Cost:

All camp participants are subject to a $100 registration fee + an equalisation fee. This fee allows equal opportunity for players in regional and remote areas to attend the Queensland Hopes State Final in SEQ and covers travel and accommodation costs for these players.

Eligibility: Players qualify via one of the regional QLD Hopes event (State Final invite only) and must be registered with TTQ as a 2026 concession or full member (or Club Plus payment class from 2 January 2026)
