Table Tennis Queensland (TTQ) is pleased to announce the addition of Tablelands Table Tennis Club to its growing network of affiliated clubs and associations across Queensland.

The TTQ Board of Management formally ratified the affiliation of Tablelands Table Tennis Club, marking another positive step in the continued growth and reach of the sport across the state.

The addition of the Tablelands club will help strengthen opportunities for people in the region to participate in table tennis and further supports TTQ’s commitment to growing accessible and sustainable participation opportunities across Queensland.

TTQ CEO Brady Walmsley said the establishment of a new club was particularly encouraging at a time when the sport is experiencing strong participation growth.

“We’re delighted to welcome Tablelands Table Tennis Club into the Table Tennis Queensland community and look forward to working closely with the club as it establishes and grows its presence in the region.

“Table tennis in Queensland has recorded membership growth of 14.4% over the past 12 months, which is a fantastic reflection of the work being done by our clubs and associations to create opportunities for people to get involved in our sport.

“The addition of another club is an important part of that growth. Expanding our footprint, particularly across regional Queensland, gives more people the opportunity to discover a sport that is accessible to participants of all ages and abilities.”

Table Tennis Queensland will work with Tablelands Table Tennis Club to support its development and help establish sustainable participation opportunities for the local community.

TTQ looks forward to welcoming the club’s players, volunteers and supporters to the wider Queensland table tennis community and seeing table tennis continue to grow across the Tablelands region.
