City of Moreton Bay signs as Major Partner for 2024 QLD Open Championship

Thursday 2^nd May 2024: Event Partnership – City of Moreton Bay & 2024 QLD Open Championship

Table Tennis Queensland (TTQ) is delighted to announce City of Moreton Bay as a Major Event Partner for the 2024 QLD Open Championships, which are to be held at the Moreton Bay Table Tennis Club, Centenary Lakes Indoor Stadium, Caboolture from 1-2 June 2024.

This partnership with City of Moreton Bay and the 2024 QLD Open Championships is a great opportunity to promote one of the flagship tournaments on the 2024 Table Tennis QLD event calendar, and the wonderful area of Moreton Bay which is situated just 30 minutes from Brisbane airport and a short 1-hour commute from Sunshine Coast airport.

Mayor Peter Flannery expressed pride in City of Moreton Bay’s support for the event and was excited to see the championships hosted in Caboolture.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the highly anticipated 2024 QLD Open Championships to our vibrant city,” said Mayor Peter Flannery.

“Council is proud to play its part in supporting high-calibre events like these, as well as backing our local sporting clubs and promoting heathy and active lifestyles.

“We extend a warm welcome to participants, spectators, and supporters from across the state. Let’s all embrace the beauty of our city and make the most of this exciting event in Moreton Bay.”

TTQ Executive Officer Damon Selwyn said, “we are excited about this partnership with the City of Moreton Bay and one of our most prestigious tournaments on the 2024 events calendar.

“We hope to use this partnership as a springboard to raise the profile of not only our major events, but also the regions we host these events in.

“This partnership has enabled us to increase the prize money on offer for the men’s and women’s open singles category and support a marketing and awareness campaign to promote the event, host venue and City of Moreton Bay.”
